Isaiah 4:2-6<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

2\u00a0<\/sup><\/em>In that day\u00a0the Branch of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0will be beautiful\u00a0and glorious, and the fruit\u00a0of the land will be the pride and glory\u00a0of the survivors\u00a0in Israel.\u00a03\u00a0<\/sup>Those who are left in Zion,\u00a0who remain\u00a0in Jerusalem, will be called holy,\u00a0all who are recorded\u00a0among the living in Jerusalem.\u00a04\u00a0<\/sup>The Lord will wash away the filth\u00a0of the women of Zion;\u00a0he will cleanse\u00a0the bloodstains\u00a0from Jerusalem by a spirit[<\/sup><\/em>a<\/sup><\/em><\/a>]<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0of judgment\u00a0and a spirit[<\/sup><\/em>b<\/sup><\/em><\/a>]<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0of fire.\u00a05\u00a0<\/sup>Then the\u00a0Lord\u00a0will create\u00a0over all of Mount Zion\u00a0and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;\u00a0over everything the glory[<\/sup><\/em>c<\/sup><\/em><\/a>]<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0will be a canopy.\u00a06\u00a0<\/sup>It will be a shelter\u00a0and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge\u00a0and hiding place from the storm\u00a0and rain.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

DEVOTIONAL<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jesus was born about seven hundred years after Isaiah describes the kind of future that God\u2019s people were going to have. There is so much encouragement in realizing that there is hope for salvation. God\u2019s plan for us includes salvation, even after judgement. Jesus Christ was that branch that allowed us to become His holy remnant.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Matthew 5:3 says, \u201cBlessed\u00a0are<\/em>\u00a0the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.\u201d Let us protect the purity of our transformed and sanctified lives. Even after it seemed like the lineage was dead, the “branch” (Jesus) is symbolic of new life. God is ever present, and His protection will always be over His people. Jesus Christ is a living testament of that renewal for mankind.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Yes, there will be judgement but, that is not the final word. If we remain faithful to the end, there is hope. Revelation 2:10 b \u201cBe thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of Life\u201d (NKJV). Our sins will be purged away; we will be called \u201cHoly\u201d!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Our omnipresent God is always with us. Our omnipotent God always protects us. Like He did with \u2018a cloud by day and a fire by night\u2019, He promised to always be our \u2018shelter\u2019 in the \u2018storm\u2019.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Let us get ready for a glorious, new life where we can glory in our Redeemer, our Messiah!<\/p>
