Opening Prayer: Psalm 37<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

1<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Do not fret because of those who are evil
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0or be envious\u00a0of those who do wrong;
2<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>for like the grass they will soon wither,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0like green plants they will soon die away.<\/em><\/p>

3<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Trust in the\u00a0Lord\u00a0and do good;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0dwell in the land\u00a0and enjoy safe pasture.
4<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>Take delight\u00a0in the\u00a0Lord,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and he will give you the desires of your heart.<\/em><\/p>

5<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Commit your way to the\u00a0Lord;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0trust in him\u00a0and he will do this:
6<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>He will make your righteous reward\u00a0shine like the dawn,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0your vindication like the noonday sun.<\/em><\/p>

7<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Be still\u00a0before the\u00a0Lord
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and wait patiently\u00a0for him;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0do not fret\u00a0when people succeed in their ways,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0when they carry out their wicked schemes.<\/em><\/p>

8<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Refrain from anger\u00a0and turn from wrath;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0do not fret\u2014it leads only to evil.
9<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>For those who are evil will be destroyed,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0but those who hope\u00a0in the\u00a0Lord\u00a0will inherit the land.<\/em><\/p>

10<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0though you look for them, they will not be found.
11<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>But the meek will inherit the land
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and enjoy peace and prosperity.<\/em><\/p>

12\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>The wicked plot\u00a0against the righteous
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and gnash their teeth\u00a0at them;
13<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for he knows their day is coming.<\/em><\/p>

14<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>The wicked draw the sword
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0to slay those whose ways are upright.
15<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and their bows will be broken.<\/em><\/p>

16<\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Better the little that the righteous have
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0than the wealth\u00a0of many wicked;
17<\/sup>\u00a0<\/strong>for the power of the wicked will be broken,
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0but the\u00a0Lord\u00a0upholds\u00a0the righteous.<\/em><\/p>
