Walking With Jesus, Growing in Faith Together

At Trinity our desire is to be a church that “Walks with Jesus and Grows in Faith Together.” This isn’t just a catchy tag line, but reflects what we hope represents the quality of our life as a church.

To walk with Jesus is the purpose of the Christian life. We trust our lives into the leadership and guidance of Jesus as our savior and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us and our character to mirror Jesus. This is what it meant for the early church to say “Jesus is Lord!” It was a declaration of absolute surrender to follow the ways that Jesus taught under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. These early Christians believed (just as we do) that in Jesus lies the source of all truth.

This is why the Apostle Paul could write in Colossians 1:15-17: “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.”

But what does it mean to grow in faith together? After all, isn’t it really only about Jesus and me? Well at Trinity we believe it is about Jesus and WE. You see we really do need each other. I need your faith to encourage, challenge, and even guide me and you need the same from other fellow believers. The faith was handed down to us from those who went before us and our response is to also faithfully hand it down to others. To do this we need each other.

We would love for you to join us at Trinity and learn what it means to “Walk with Jesus and Grow in Faith Together” with us.
