There is no doubt that trust is the key in our relationship with God. If we do not trust, it will be impossible to establish a relationship with God since that is the basis of any relationship.
V.1-2 God is our rock of protection. In times of difficulty or danger He is with us, fighting for us because in the end He always brings justice and salvation to all who are faithful to him.
V.3 Evil and impiety are not prevalent over the just.
V.4 As His children we completely trust that He works for our good and in our favor.
V.5 We have the unique opportunity to turn to Him or away from Him. Each option has its results. What will you opt for today?
As we prepare to commemorate His earthly birth, we also get ready for His second coming. How are we preparing? How are we maintaining the gift of salvation that has already been offered to us? We trust that every day God surrounds us with His love, guidance, and protection and that He does so much more for us. How blessed we are to have our Lord and Savior “doing good” for us especially when we are “upright in our hearts.”
It is natural for us as human beings to want God to always work in our favor. We pray daily for his help to be constant in our lives. He shows up daily in great and small ways and allows us to experience and savor His peace and His presence. Let us come before Him daily with the assurance that He wants to protect us but let us also come before Him with utmost gratitude in our hearts.
